We always use our reich weight control and stick to family sites as they generally give us what we want. A good size pitch preferably hardstanding with EHU. Must have a dog walk or be in a location for good walking direct from site. We prefer the more rural sites espeacially ones near to the coast. We too like peace and quiet so clubs and bars are out. Don't mean this wrong but if we go in a UK van now the 1 foot or so difference in width seems like 6ft. Suppose its an optical illusion, It is so well insulated, It takes no heating, Bed is absolutely superb, And we love everything about it.
The one thing that worried me was door on wrong side, I have never been as wrong in my life, Its superb, I have sat in hundreds of British vans and most have either wasted space at front end or you are bending your back when sat on frontcaravan chair to avoid touching front windows.

We rarely find one as it excludes most sites but there are some excellent ones out there which fit the bill we had a swift caravan electric control panel fixed at one last year and bought a small caravan cover its a 2 berth caravan cover.
Static Caravan Tables
For us the decision first was to buy or not buy an imported English static caravan. Then it was easy as it was great value for money considering all the standard fittings etc that English caravans have compared to N Z. Just thestatic caravan tables are a vast improvement. Now we are trying to decide on a caravan folding table it's between a kampa camping table and an isabella camping table I think the decision will be decided by the ease of operating the caravan table legs for the wife.

Again there are compromises with this make. Only three rings and they are all gas. Our Swift has 3 gas and 1 electric which always got used when on EHU. But the new one does have a caravan microwave. It's swings and roundabouts. If I could have all my dreams the van would need to be the size of a 6 berth with static caravan exterior lights and mpk 400 x 400 rooflight and mpk rooflight spares but I need to be realistic.
